TPMS reduce accidents from blow outs and tyre wall destruction due to under inflation.

• In 75% of cases whereby a driver has to pull over due to a flat tyre were preceded by a slow leak or under inflation condition
• 41% of road accidents with physical injury in Germany are linked to tyre problems (inflation and wear: source DEKRA).
• On US roads and estimated 250,000 accidents involve blow outs or under inflated tyres (source NHTSA 49 CFR part 571)
• Approx 27% of passenger cars and 33% of light truck and vehicles on US roads are driven with one or more substantially under inflated tyre (source NHTSA)
